Overview

The House Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, ironing, folding, and distributing all soiled linens, towels, napkins, and tablecloths.

Responsibilities

1. Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
2. Understand the operation of washing machines and dryers.
3. Load and unload washes according to standards.
4. Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
5. Sort all hotel linen by type, color, size, etc.
6. Pre-treat stained linen before washing.
7. Clean dryer filters daily and maintain equipment as trained.
8. Operate iron as per standards and ensure it is turned off at the end of the day.
9. Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing linens off the floor.
10. Fold towels and linens.
11. Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
12. Keep laundry carts clean and debris-free.
13. Maintain a clean work area.
14. Sort clean laundry and load carts accordingly.
15. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. Flexibility and willingness to work long hours as needed.
2. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and 20 pounds frequently.
3. Ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
4. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with hotel standards.
5. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
6. Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
