Job summary

Holiday Inn Winter Haven is seeking a part-time laundry attendant to support our hotel laundry operations and, as needed, assist in other housekeeping areas.

Weekend availability is required. Duties include sorting linens, operating washers/dryers, stocking supplies, and keeping the laundry area safe and organized; involvement with guest rooms and public spaces may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Laundry/hotel experience is a plus.
• Housekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens into appropriate groups for washing, separate stained linen from other dirty linen, treat according to policy and procedures.
• Clean washers and dryers, check drums and replenish cleaning agents, and clean lint traps on dryer.
• Remove linens from dryers, fold, and place in appropriate storage rack/room.
• Ensure proper curing process is followed.
• Log discarded linen on “discarded linen” sheet.
• Maintain immediate work area and clean break room and employee bathroom.
• Follow proper safety procedures according to MIOSHA standards.
• Keep shelves and supplies well stocked and organized, inform supervisor of shortages in inventory or supplies.
• May assist housekeepers with cleaning duties; including collecting and delivering soiled linens to laundry room.
• Notify supervisor of all equipment breakdowns.
• Provide the highest quality of service to the guests.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies for all guests and employees.
• Adhere to proper key control procedures.
• Report any unusual occurrences or requests to a supervisor immediately.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.

Holiday Inn Winter Haven is on the lookout for part-time laundry attendants to assist with our hotel laundry operations. This role may also involve occasional support in other housekeeping areas, including public spaces and guest rooms, as needed.

Please note: Weekend availability is required for this position.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating all aspects of the laundry area.

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including nights or weekends.
