Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - North Shore Conference Center in Skokie, IL is seeking a Laundry Attendant to provide spotless guest- ready linen and respond with a friendly, service-oriented attitude.

You will count and sort laundry to prevent discrepancies, ensure linens are returned to standard quality, distribute clean linens to floors, and collect rubbish bags from carts, supporting a welcoming guest experience and Team culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Count with laundry collector to ensure no discrepancies.
• Ensure all linen sent out is returned to the hotel quality standard.
• Distribute clean room linens to the floor linen closet.
• Collect rubbish bags from the floor landing area and carts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that counting is done with the laundry collector to avoid discrepancies
• Ensure that all linen sent out is returned to the quality standard set by the hotel
• To distribute clean room linens to the floor linen closet
• To collect all rubbish bags from the floor landing area and carts

Requirements

• Prior experience in a hotel setting or in a similar role is ideal, but willing to train the right person. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish speaking) is a plus

$16.00 per hour
