Job summary

HRI Properties in Richmond, VA is seeking a Laundry Attendant to efficiently clean, process, and distribute hotel linens in the Housekeeping department, ensuring brand standards are met.

You will operate commercial washers and dryers, monitor supplies, lift up to 50–75 lbs, and deliver clean linens to floors while maintaining a clean laundry area and adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs.
• Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and safety procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and terry according to hotel standards.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas.
• Monitor laundry supply levels and alert management when ordering is needed.
• Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and remove items as needed.
• Deliver clean linens to storage rooms or floors as directed.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper chemical use.
• Assist the housekeeping team with additional tasks when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Hospitality environment experience a plus.
