Job summary

Spring-Hill-Suite in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure hotel linens are cleaned and stored in a timely, organized manner per policies.

Responsibilities include operating washers/dryers, adding chemicals, folding linens, assisting in inventories, reporting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace in compliance with energy and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand directions on equipment and supplies.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling and bending.

Responsibilities

• Operates washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensures necessary chemicals are added prior to wash cycles.
• Folds clean linens and stores as appropriate.
• Assists in daily linen counts for monthly inventories.
• Informs supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
• Records all damaged or stained linens.
• Cleans dryers promptly after cooling.
• Cleans and maintains a clean and safe working area.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and bending. Occasionally may need to lift 50-100 lbs.
