Job summary

BBL LENOX HOTEL GROUP LLC seeks a Laundry Attendant to maintain hotel linens and ensure timely cleaning and storage according to policy. You will operate washers/dryers, manage chemicals, fold and store linens, and assist with inventories.

Weekend and holiday availability is required to support hotel operations. Qualifications include a preferred high school diploma, ability to read equipment directions, and physical capacity to lift up to 50-100 lbs with assistance when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions on equipment and supplies.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, push, pull and bend.

Responsibilities

• Operates washers and dryers according to capacity and guidelines.
• Adds necessary chemicals prior to wash cycles.
• Folds linens and stores them properly.
• Assists in inventory counts and reports malfunctions.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and bending. Occasionally may need to lift 50-100 lbs. (with help) if needed.Duties to include, but not limited to:Operates washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and other manufacturer guidelines.Ensures necessary chemicals are added prior to wash cycles.Folds clean linens and stores as appropriate.Assists in daily linen counts for monthly inventories.Informs supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.Records all damaged or stained linens.Complies with energy conservation and job safety regulations.Notifies supervisor of incidents or conflicts that affect normal business operations or guest services.Cleans dryers promptly after coolingClean and sweet working area.
