Overview
We are seeking a qualified Laundry Attendant responsible for the proper washing, drying, and storage of laundry to maintain high standards of quality.

The Laundry Attendant Will

• Operate washing and drying equipment, load/unload laundry, measure and use cleaning agents as per specifications.
• Monitor washer feeders, ensure drums are full, report irregularities.
• Empty laundry chutes, prepare loads for washing.
• Pre-sort and transfer linen by classification.
• Operate folding equipment for mats, towels, etc.
• Identify laundry needing mending or stain removal.
• Clean hampers, set drying times, clean machines and surrounding areas.
• Stock linen room with cleaned items.

Other Responsibilities
Maintain regular attendance, work varying schedules as needed, and comply with hotel rules and safety regulations. Irregular attendance may lead to disciplinary actions including termination.

Supportive Functions
Assist other department members as directed by the supervisor, based on hotel needs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and their effects on linen.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, lift (up to 75 lbs), push/pull carts (up to 200 lbs), and stand for long periods.
• Basic English comprehension for safety labels and instructions.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma preferred.
• No experience required; laundry experience preferred.
• No licenses or certificates required.

All employees must maintain a neat appearance. The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours, and shifts may vary based on business needs.
