Title: Laundry Attendant

Position Focus:

Provides cleaning services such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing walls, windows, and mirrors in designated areas of the hotel. In guest rooms, replaces linens, replenishes amenities, and makes beds in accordance with hotel standards.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to reach all areas of the hotel to assist clients.
• Occasional carrying and lifting of heavy items.
• Work on weekends and holidays.
• Exposure to household chemicals.

Organizational Structure:

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor. Subordinates: N/A.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Sort soiled linens by kind, color, and degree of soil; inspect all laundry and record damaged/stained items.
• Operate washers and dryers according to capacity and guidelines.
• Add chemicals/detergents in correct quantities before wash cycles.
• Fold and store linens; operate linen handling equipment.
• Assist in linen inventory counts.
• Follow cleaning and inspection procedures.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and courteously.
• Follow safety, security, and company policies; report hazards or incidents.
• Maintain appearance and confidentiality standards.
• Lift objects up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Adhere to team guidelines and report to scheduled shifts.
• Observe the 5x10 rule, assist guests, and show appreciation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
