Job summary

Valor is seeking a Laundry Attendant to process soiled linen and distribute clean linen per SOPs, ensuring safety and quality in a busy hotel environment.

You will sort, weigh and feed linen through washers, dryers, ironers, and feeders; assist guests and team members with requests, and report equipment issues to keep operations efficient.

No formal experience required; high school diploma preferred. A friendly, reliable demeanor and ability to stand for long periods are essential.

Qualifications

• Numerical proficiency for counts, weights and measurements.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, vendors, staff and management.
• Experience operating industrial laundry machinery is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and weigh soiled linen; place into appropriate containers.
• Process linen using washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeders ensuring finished product meets quality standards.
• Turn in all articles from Laundry Chute/Department to the Supervisor to log in Lost and Found.
• Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Notify supervisor of supplies needed, damaged linens or hazards to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and a friendly, courteous demeanor at all times.
