Job summary

Holiday Inn Express is seeking a Laundry Attendant to manage daily laundry operations on-site, handle linens, and support housekeeping in a fast-paced hotel environment. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include maintaining the daily sheet, sorting and processing laundry, and assisting teammates while ensuring cleanliness and confidentiality of guest information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the laundry assignment daily sheet.
• Comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform light and deep cleaning of the laundry facility (sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, polish washers).
• Sort dirty linen from linen closets.
• Record, send out, receive and organize guest, employee, and household dry cleaning.
• Replace records and dispose of empty chemical drums.
• Fold and organize bed linens and guest room items.
• Spot treat and process stained linens.
• Monitor timing and load balance of washers and dryers.
• Keep the laundry facility organized, safe and clean.
• Assist team members when needed.
• Report and record any lost and found items.
• Respond to room attendant and supervisor calls promptly.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Report damages or malfunctioning equipment to supervision.
• Assist in daily linen counts for inventories.

Laundry Attendant:

• Maintaining and updates the laundry assignment daily sheet.
• Complies with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Light and deep cleaning of laundry facility- sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, polish washers.
• Picks up and sorts dirty linen from linen closets.
• Records sends out, receives and organizes all guest, employee, and household dry cleaning.
• Replaces records and disposes of empty chemical drums.
• Folds and organizes bed linens and guest room items.
• Spot treats and process stained linens.
• Maintains timing and volume input/output of washers and dryers.
• Maintains the laundry facility organized, safe and clean.
• Assist team members when needed.
• Reports and records any lost and found items.
• Responds to room attendant and supervisor(s) calls in a timely manner.
• Follows all safety and sanitation procedures that pertain to the job.
• Reports and records any damages, discrepancies and or malfunctioned equipment to supervisor(s).
• Assists in daily linen counts for monthly inventories.
