Seabury at Pomperaug Woods in Southbury, CT is seeking a part-time Laundry Worker to support our Environmental Services team. You will handle resident and healthcare linens, ensuring clean, fresh linens and a comfortable living environment for residents.

Responsibilities include following infection control and safety procedures, operating laundry equipment safely, and delivering linens throughout the community.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and dependability.

• Commercial laundry experience is helpful, but not required.

Part-Time Laundry Worker

Looking for a part-time job that helps make a difference every weekend? Join our Environmental Services team as a Laundry Worker and play an important role in ensuring our residents have clean, fresh linens and a comfortable living environment.

Schedule

• Saturday & Sunday
• 8-hour shifts each day

What You'll Do

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and healthcare linens
• Follow established infection control, safety, and laundry procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with linen deliveries throughout the community
• Support the Environmental Services team with additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and dependable attendance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently
• Ability to push and pull linen carts weighing up to 100 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a warm laundry environment and perform repetitive tasks
