Job summary

Pomperaug Woods, Inc. is seeking a hospitality-focused Housekeeper for Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00am-4:00pm, in Southbury, CT. This part-time role supports residents and maintains clean apartments and common areas within a senior living community.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting restrooms and dining areas, and following infection control procedures. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required; English instruction and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments and/or Health Center, such as: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms, dining rooms, offices and hallways following infection control procedures and established policies.
• Uses chemicals only as directed and in an approved, economical manner.
• Uses safety considerations at all times when performing duties.
• Performs annual cleaning of apartments.
