Job summary

Pomperaug Woods in Southbury, CT is seeking a hospitality-focused Housekeeper for Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00am–4:00pm. This part-time role involves maintaining clean apartments and common areas, supporting a caring senior-living community.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, dusting surfaces, disinfecting restrooms and dining spaces, following safety and infection-control procedures, and finishing tasks in priority order.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming and cleaning apartments and Health Center including bathrooms and kitchens; dusting all cleared surfaces.
• Cleaning hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Complete tasks in the priority order set by supervisor.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, dining rooms, offices and hallways following infection control procedures.
• Use chemicals only as directed and in an approved economical manner.
• Maintain safety awareness at all times while performing duties.
• Perform annual cleaning of apartments.

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments and/or Health Center, such as: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms, dining rooms, offices and hallways following infection control procedures and established policies.
• Uses chemicals only as directed and in an approved, economical manner.
• Uses safety considerations at all times when performing duties.
• Performs annual cleaning of apartments.
