Job summary

AdventHealth in Apopka, Florida is looking for a Linen Technician to support the facility’s laundry operations. The role involves checking machines for faults, operating folders and ironers, and ensuring linen is clean, folded, and ready for distribution.

You will log downtime, assist the team lead, and maintain a safe, organized work area. English communication is preferred; no formal education required. The position offers day-shift with weekend coverage and benefits from Day One.

Job Description:

Checks machine for fault and resets appropriately, requesting assistance from team lead or supervisor if needed. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including floors and waste containers. Logs in and out from computer software, including equipment downtime, engineers calls, and productivity. Meets linen production standards, operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and ensuring proper settings for each type of linen. Sorts wet linen and inspects all linen for stains and tears, removing stained and/or torn linen and placing in designated area for proper processing. Pushes filled linen carts to designated area for processing. Pays close attention to equipment operation, feeding folders and ironers in a neat and safe manner. Operates the folders and ironers, sending and catching clean linen to be stacked and placed in linen carts; fold linen by hand as needed. Other duties as assigned.
