Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL seeks a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to keep patient areas clean and safe. Day shift, full-time position with comprehensive benefits. You will follow hospital policies, operate cleaning equipment, and interact respectfully with patients.

This role requires English communication, basic computer use, and willingness to work at height ladders. Prior custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to include mouse and keyboard.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in clean, safe condition.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients and staff.
• Documents assignments after completion and suggests improvements.

Job Description:

Cleans assigned areas daily, including removing trash linens and biohaz waste. Conducts project cleaning of walls, light entrances, common areas, windows, vents, and sidewalks as assigned. Transports soiled linen and various types of waste in accordance with department and hospital policies. Utilizes personal protective equipment properly in all aspects of job performance. Monitors and reports any equipment issues or shortages and equipment is maintained. Adjusts to staff shortages and covers other assigned areas as needed. Interacts with patients/customers in an appropriate manner. Documents daily assignments once completed and makes suggestions for improvement. Other duties as assigned.
