Job summary

Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a full-time Laundry Attendant to support our housekeeping team. The role runs 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM with an every-other-weekend rotation, and offers weekly pay at $16 per hour.

You will ensure residents' clothing and facility linens are properly cared for, following sanitation procedures and infection control guidelines while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Housekeeping/laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner to ensure clean clothing and linen are always available to meet the needs of the residents and facility.
• All laundry must be done according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control and universal precautions.
• Follow washing instructions on each article of clothing/linen to ensure maximum care and cleanliness.
• Label unmarked clothes.
• Restock linens and return residents' articles of clothing to their rooms.
• Other duties as assigned by team.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public, and be able to appropriately handle residents.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.
