Avinahc is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform daily laundering of facility linens and, when appropriate, resident personal laundry. The role emphasizes infection control, safety, and respectful guest interactions.

The successful candidate will sort, launder, label, and finish laundry while maintaining privacy and dignity for guests, answering call lights promptly, and supporting a positive house environment. Training of new staff may be required.

Formación

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Sorts soiled laundry in accordance with established infection control procedures.
• Loads and unloads laundry into and out of washing and drying machines using laundry chemicals and monitors machines while in use.
• Sorts, labels, folds, mends, counts and irons clean laundry.
• Maintains infection control and standard precaution practices at all times and follows safety precautions with equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them warmly and respectfully.
• Responds promptly and courteously to call lights in Guest care areas.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates effectively with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attends and participates in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.

Laundry Aide Job Summary: The primary job responsibility of the Laundry Aide is to complete the daily laundering of the facility’s soiled linen, as well as to launder resident personal laundry when appropriate.

Laundry Aide Job Description:
