Job summary

Friendship Village Chesterfield is hiring a Laundry Aide to ensure residents receive clean, properly handled clothing and linens in a welcoming environment. Day shift runs 7:00am - 3:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Duties include sorting, operating equipment, loading/d unloading washers, and preparing items for delivery. Ideal candidates have basic hospitality knowledge, strong English communication, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Basic understanding of hospitality and customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Commitment to proper personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens, towels, clothing, and other laundry items by color, size, and material.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment while following proper sanitization procedures.
• Load and unload commercial washers and dryers.
• Prepare and package clean laundry for delivery to residents.
• Create laundry tags using appropriate resident identification information.
• Assist with receiving and unloading laundry deliveries from vendors and suppliers.
• Stock laundry supplies, including detergent, bleach, laundry bags, and fabric softener.
• Clean and maintain the laundry room and equipment.
• Follow established safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work cooperatively with team members to support resident needs.

We are currently hiring a Laundry Aide to help ensure residents receive clean, properly handled clothing and linens. This role is an important part of maintaining a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Available Openings

• Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Laundry Aide Responsibilities

• Sort linens, towels, clothing, and other laundry items by color, size, and material
