Friendship Village in St. Louis, Missouri, is hiring a friendly Laundry Aide to ensure residents receive clean clothing and linens in a welcoming environment.

The role supports daily operations on the day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. You will sort items, operate commercial washers and dryers, prepare packages for delivery, maintain the laundry room, and follow safety and infection prevention procedures while collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience in laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and follow instructions.
• Commitment to proper personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens, towels, clothing, and other laundry items by color, size, and material.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment while following proper sanitization procedures.
• Load and unload commercial washers and dryers.
• Prepare and package clean laundry for delivery to residents.
• Create laundry tags using appropriate resident identification information.
• Assist with receiving and unloading laundry deliveries from vendors and suppliers.
• Stock laundry supplies, including detergent, bleach, laundry bags, and fabric softener.
• Clean and maintain the laundry room and equipment.
• Follow established safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work cooperatively with team members to support resident needs.
