Job summary

National Health Care Associates is seeking a Laundry Aide to support our Storrs, CT residents and care teams. This entry-level role focuses on clean, sanitized linens and items to ensure resident comfort.

Duties include sorting, washing, drying, folding, operating laundry equipment, inspecting for damage, maintaining supplies, and following infection control protocols. No prior experience required, though helpful.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Location: 100 Warren Circle, Storrs, Connecticut, 06268

FULL-TIME SCHEDULE: Friday,Saturday,Sunday,Monday - 32-hours

PART-TIME SCHEDULE: 16-hours

What You'll Do

As a Laundry Aide, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the laundry operations, ensuring that linens, clothing, and other items are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our residents. Key Responsibilities Of a Laundry Aide
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, and other items according to established procedures and schedules
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and folding machines
  • Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
