Job summary

Mansfield Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Storrs, CT is seeking a Laundry Aide to support our residents by keeping linens and clothing clean, sanitized, and properly stored. This entry-level role emphasizes comfort, cleanliness, and well-being for residents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, and other items according to established procedures and schedules.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
  • Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

FULL-TIME SCHEDULE: Friday,Saturday,Sunday,Monday - 32-hours
PART-TIME SCHEDULE: 16-hours

As a Laundry Aide, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the laundry operations, ensuring that linens, clothing, and other items are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well‑being of our residents.
