Job summary

Focused Post Acute Care Partners in Baytown, TX is seeking a Laundry Staff member responsible for washing, sorting, and distributing linens and resident clothing. You will follow facility policies, maintain infection control, and support daily operations in a long-term care setting.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work weekends or holidays as assigned, and collaborate with care teams. DailyPay is available as a benefit.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• The ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals, as well as being exposed to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linen and clothing.
• Assists in the sorting of soiled articles.
• Responsible for all washing and drying of soiled articles sent to the laundry for cleaning.
• Transfers clean linens and distributes to wings according to their daily predetermined needs.
• Assists in labeling residents clothing as needed.
• Follows safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
• Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
• Reports defective equipment or needed repairs.
• Have a working knowledge of laundry policies and procedures.
• Assures that infection control practices are maintained.
• Coordinates isolation procedures when necessary.
• Reports all accidents/incidents to your supervisor or charge nurse.
• Attends staff education, training and other meetings.
• Maintains professional conduct while interacting with residents.
• Follows facility policies and procedures including but not limited to resident rights, infection control, dignity, etc.
