Job summary

ARK in Wichita, KS seeks a friendly laundry attendant to ensure hotel linens and textiles are clean, pressed and ready for guests. You will operate washers, manage inventory, and maintain equipment while delivering courteous service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate lifts 20+ pounds, has at least 1 year of experience in housekeeping or laundry, and understands commercial cleaning products. This is a reliable, on-site role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to consistently lift 20 or more pounds.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products.
• At least 1 year of experience as laundry attendant, housekeeper or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to general manager.
• Place all laundry in the washer and add the cleaning agents as directed.
• Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management.
• Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Look at all of your linens and treat any stains that you find.

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team member who enjoys interacting with guests and making them feel at ease. Responsibilities include washing, ironing, pressing, and folding linens. You should ideally have experience with industrial washing products as well as the ability to lift 20 pounds or more on a consistent basis.

Compensation

$12 - $14 hourly
