ARK is hiring a reliable laundry attendant for our hotel team in Columbia, SC. You will handle washing, ironing, pressing and folding linens, while engaging with guests and creating a comfortable environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to consistently lift 20+ pounds.
• 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or similar role preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Impeccable work ethic and strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products.

Responsibilities

• Load laundry into washing machines following manufacturer directions.
• Treat stains on linens as needed.
• Dry clothing and linens per instructions.
• Inspect laundry equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.

• Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals
• Look at all of your linens and treat any stains that you find
• Dry clothing and linens after each wash cycle according to the manufacturer's instructions
• Inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management
• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to general manager
