Job summary

Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center is seeking a Laundry Aide for the afternoons in Westland, MI. The role involves sorting soiled linen, operating washing machines, folding and distributing clean linen, and maintaining a sanitary work area.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, clear communication in English, and customer service skills. Prior 2-3 years in a long-term care setting are preferred; rotating weekends and some holidays apply.

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
• 2-3 years of experience in a long-term care, nursing home environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Laundry Aide - Afternoons 1P-9P (Westland, MI)

The Laundry Aide is responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading washing machines, and folding clean linen. This position also counts the amount of linen processed each day, delivers clean laundry to assigned units, and cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas.

You will earn:

• Starting Wages $14.50 per hour
• PLUS $0.85 per hour Hero/Hazard pay
• Yearly Wage Increases

We need your help with these scheduling needs:

• Part Time - All Shifts include Rotating Weekends & Some Holidays
• Afternoons / Evening shift: 4 Nights/Week 1 PM - 9PM
