Job summary

Aria Healthcare in Brookfield is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to maintain facility linens and resident personal laundry while ensuring infection control standards and a respectful, dignified environment for guests.

You will sort, wash, dry, label and iron laundry, respond to call lights, assist training, and participate in meetings while delivering compassionate care. Competitive pay, health insurance, PTO, 401k, and daily pay are available.

Responsibilities

• Sorts soiled laundry following infection control procedures.
• Loads and unloads laundry, operates washing/drying machines, and monitors equipment.
• Sorts, labels, folds, mends, counts and irons clean laundry.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices at all times.
• Reports hazardous conditions and equipment issues to supervisor.
• MaintainsGuest comfort, privacy and dignity in interactions.
• Responds promptly to call lights in guest care areas.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates effectively with guests, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services.

Laundry Aide Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

Laundry Aide Job Summary:

The primary job responsibility of the Laundry Aide is to complete the daily laundering of the facility’s soiled linen, as well as to launder resident personal laundry when appropriate.

Laundry Aide Job Description:

• Sorts soiled laundry in accordance with established infection control procedures.
• Loads and unloads laundry into and out of washing and drying machines using laundry chemicals and monitors machines while in use.
• Sorts, labels, folds, mends, counts and irons clean laundry.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests/guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
