Job summary

Fountain Springs Healthcare Center is currently seeking a Laundry Aide that is responsible for the daily preparation and quality control of linen distributed.

Evergreen Healthcare Group is the parent employer and Equal Opportunity Employer. This full-time role requires four 9–10 hour days per week with alternating weekends at Fountain Springs in Rapid City, SD.

Qualifications

• Ability to take initiative and show good judgment.
• Ability to become familiar with the physical arrangement of the Center.
• Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team

Responsibilities

• Follows written policies and procedures of the Laundry Department.
• Linen sorting, washing, folding
• Observes infection control standards in the handling of linens and clothing.
• Sorts and washes soiled linens.
• Hangs or lays out garments
• Folds, counts, and stacks linen
• Presses or hand irons articles as required.
• Inspects linen for wear and tear.
• Care and use of equipment and supplies, and cleanliness of work area.
• Operates washers and dryers
• Cleans dryer lint traps.
