Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Laundry Aide/Housekeeper at Seattle Medical Post Acute Care. This part-time role focuses on daily linen preparation, quality control, and housekeeping to maintain safety and sanitation.

The position supports infection-control standards and efficient operation of the Laundry Department. Responsibilities include following schedules, sorting and handling linens, operating washers/dryers, and maintaining equipment and work areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to take initiative and show good judgment.
• Familiarity with the physical layout of the Center is helpful.
• Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow and complete cleaning schedules.
• Observe proper infection control standards.
• Perform janitorial tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
• Maintain equipment used in performing duties.
• Operate washers and dryers for linen care.
• Sort, wash, fold, and store linen and garments.
• Press or hand iron articles as required.
• Inspect linen for wear and tear and ensure cleanliness of work areas.

Job Summary:

Seattle Medical Post Acute Careis currently seekingaLaundry Aide/Housekeeperthat is responsible for the daily preparation, quality control of linen distributed and providing daily housekeeping services to maintain the Center's safety, sanitation, and attractive condition.

Essential Functions:

• Follows and completes cleaning schedules
• Observes proper infection control standards
• Performs janitorial tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
• Maintains equipment used in performing duties
• Acts as a Mandatory Reporter
• Follows written policies and procedures of the Laundry Department
• Linen sorting, washing, folding
• Observes infection control standards in the handling of linens and clothing.
• Sorts and washes soiled linens.
• Hangs or lays out garments
• Folds, counts, and stacks linen
• Presses or hand irons articles as required.
• Inspects linen for wear and tear.
• Care and use of equipment and supplies, and cleanliness of work area.
• Operates washers and dryers
• Cleans dryer lint traps.

• Ability to become familiar with the physical arrangement of the Center.
• Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team
