Job summary

Yona Solutions in New Brighton, MN is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. Experience is not required, but preferred; training will be provided. You’ll help transport, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, maintaining clean, organized laundry areas and delivering friendly service to residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds, liquids, and disinfecting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers.
• Folds clean, dry linen and places into clean carts.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains laundry areas and equipment in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.
• Prioritizes customer service and ensures respectful, compassionate care for residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts


• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers


• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers


• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts


• Keeps accurate records of linen inventoryWashes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing


• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner


• Follows all company policies and procedures


• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs


• Delivers laundry as specified


• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc


• Ability to work independently


• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic


• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel


• Must provide a criminal background check


• Laundry experience is a plus
