Job summary

Yona Solutions in Michigan seeks a Laundry Aide to join our team. Experience is not required but preferred; responsibilities include operating washers/dryers, sorting and folding linen, and maintaining clean laundry areas with attention to safety and accuracy.

You will work closely with residents and staff to ensure timely delivery of clean goods, while following all policies and providing friendly service in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds, liquids, and disinfectants.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
• Able to work well with residents and personnel.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers.
• Folds clean, dry linen and places into clean carts.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains equipment and laundry areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.
• Puts customer service first in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights
