Job summary

RegalCare at Lowell is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. You will ensure the cleanliness and comfort of our patients and residents by providing exceptional laundry services in a caring environment.

Training is provided, and you will work within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information. You will operate industrial laundry equipment, sort items by fabric type, and maintain orderly laundry areas while collaborating with staff to ensure smooth daily

Qualifications

• 0 years of experience in a healthcare laundry setting (training provided).
• Ability to lift, bend, and move laundry items and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and iron patient and resident clothing, linens, and bedding in a timely and efficient manner.
• Sort and categorize laundry items according to fabric type, color, and special handling requirements.
• Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
• Fold, hang, and package laundry items for distribution to patients and residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas, including storage rooms, laundry rooms, and supply closets.
• Follow proper infection control procedures to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management.
