Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute in Fields, Oregon, is looking for a dependable Laundry Aide to perform a variety of general laundry and housekeeping duties. You will ensure a steady supply of clean linen for residents and maintain a sanitary, odor-free environment.

GED or High School Diploma, basic math, and the ability to follow written directions are required. No certifications are required, and there is opportunity to grow with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean linen for all residents.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove damaged items.
• Follow sanitary processes and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report issues.

Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator
