Yona Solutions is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team in Chicago. No prior experience required, though laundry experience is a plus. You will handle linen, operate machines, maintain records, and deliver clean laundry to residents and staff in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and procedures.

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers and carts for linen handling.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort and load soiled linen; load clean, wet linen into dryers.
• Fold and distribute clean linen to carts.
• Keep accurate linen inventory records.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute customer clothing.
• Maintain laundry areas and equipment in a neat, safe condition.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Monitor stock and notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Deliver laundry as specified.
• Provide customer service with a caring, respectful atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements

• Ability to work independently
