Yona Solutions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. You will transport, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing, ensuring neat, clean results and friendly service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and handling laundry materials.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, flexible, and strong work ethic in a team setting.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort and load soiled linen into washers and loads of clean, wet linen into dryers.
• Fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the laundry area and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of linen inventory.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Check stock and notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Deliver laundry as specified to residents and staff.
• Provide warm, customer-first service to residents and families.

Responsibilities:

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventoryWashes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
