Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Laundry Aide for full-time day and evening shifts. The role supports resident cleanliness and comfort, maintains supply areas, and participates in sanitation routines within a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas; perform regular inspections of resident rooms for sanitation, order, safety.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions for mixing cleaning compounds and disinfectants.
• Must relate information concerning a resident's condition.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment, and keep housekeeping areas clean and orderly.
• Inspect resident rooms or units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of duties.
• Follow instructions for handling cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
• Communicate information about residents' condition as needed.

Requirements of the Laundry Aide:

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas, must perform regular inspections of resident rooms or units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
