Job summary

Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a Laundry Aide for full-time day and evening shifts at our Chambersburg location. The role supports resident care by maintaining clean, orderly housekeeping and laundry areas, following safety and sanitation standards, and assisting with inventory and supplies.

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies and keep housekeeping areas clean and safe.
• Willing to adopt new cleaning methods and apply them to practices.
• Follow written and oral instructions on mixing cleaning compounds and disinfectants.
• Able to communicate information about a resident’s condition when needed.
• Must pass a post-offer criminal background check and drug screen.

Requirements of the Laundry Aide:

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas, must perform regular inspections of resident rooms or units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.

• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.

• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
