Yona Eagle in Centreville, MD is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. You will handle laundry tasks, operate machines, and ensure clean linens for residents and staff. Prior laundry experience is a plus, and background checks are required.

You will contribute to a warm, compassionate environment, support personal growth, and uphold company policies while delivering top-notch customer service to residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and solutions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be flexible, honest, and have a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well with residents and staff.
• Criminal background check is required.
• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers and carts for soiled and clean linen.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort and load linens for washing and drying.
• Fold and place clean linen into carts for distribution.
• Maintain accurate linen inventory records.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing.
• Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Notify supervisor of supply needs and deliveries.
• Deliver laundry as specified to residents and staff.
• Provide first-class customer service with compassion.

Responsibilities:

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
