Job summary

Yona Eagle in Stoughton, Wisconsin, is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team. You will transport and sort linen, operate commercial washers and dryers, fold and distribute linen, and keep the area clean and safe while following all policies.

Experience is not required but preferred; we value reliability, compassion, and a friendly attitude toward residents, visitors, and coworkers. A background check is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and solutions.
• Ability to work independently and with residents and staff.
• Flexibility, integrity, strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads linens into washers and dryers.
• Folds clean linen and places into carts.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains laundry areas and equipment; keeps area neat and safe.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.

Responsibilities:

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Must provide a criminal background check
• Laundry experience is a plus
