Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to join our team. This full-time role covers the 10a-6p shift (nights) and involves performing a full range of laundry services for residents and staff within the facility.

Ideal candidates will read, write, and speak English proficiently, be able to lift 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods. We offer competitive wages and benefits to support our team’s well-being.

Responsibilities

Laundry Aide Primary Responsibilities

The Laundry Aide is responsible for providing the full range of laundry services to the facility, staff and residents and to maintain a successful laundry program that meets facility quality assurance standards.

• Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
• Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
• Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system

Qualifications

Laundry Aide Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs
• Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift
