Job summary

Vered Healthcare Group is seeking a Laundry Aide in the Environmental Services Department. The role involves loading laundry machines, processing linens, and ensuring cleanliness and safety in the laundry area.

Responsibilities include sorting soiled linens, verifying clothing markings, inspecting for wear, delivering items to the proper locations, and maintaining a clean work area. The job requires physical stamina, good coordination, and ability to read and understand English.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred

• Must be able to pass Background
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linens and sorts articles for washing
• Checks marking on residents' clothes and other linens and marks as required if necessary
• Inspects articles for wear and tear
• Delivers clothing, linens, and other articles to appropriate place in the facility
• Cleans equipment and work area in the laundry daily and as necessary
• Must be able to lift without restrictions
• Position requires continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling and pushing
• Occasionally lifts items weighing over 50 pounds
• Uses dexterity, hand, foot, and eye coordination to clean and sort laundry
• Completes other duties as assigned

Job description

We are currently seeking candidates for ourLaundry Aide position within the Environmental Services Department.

In this role, you will be responsible for loading laundry machines and processing laundry to clean linens. Removes and sorts linens and clothing from dryers. Operates washers and dryers using prescribed cleaning methods. Maintains a high level of quality and safety.

Laundry Aide Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linens and clothing and sorts articles for washing

• Checks marking on residents' clothes and other linens of the facility and mark as required if necessary

• Inspects articles for wear and tear

• Delivers clothing, linens, and other articles to appropriate place in the facility (i.e., resident rooms, linen closets, dietary department, etc.)

• Cleans equipment and work area in the laundry daily and as necessary

• Must be able to lift without restrictions

• The position demands continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing.

• The work requires the occasional lifting of items weighing over 50 pounds.

• The duties necessitate considerable dexterity, hand, foot, and eye coordination, and concentration as well as visual acuity to see dirt, dust and debris.

• Complete other duties as assigned
