Job summary

Dignity HCC is seeking a reliable Laundry Aide to join our healthcare team. You will wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

This role operates on the 2:00pm – 10:30pm shift and requires attention to infection control and resident dignity. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and healthcare laundry experience, with strong English communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare or long‑term care preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily laundry duties (wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing)
• Sort soiled laundry and handle items that need special care
• Ensure clean laundry is delivered to the appropriate areas
• Keep laundry room, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisor
• Maintain adequate supply of linens and laundry items
• Complete required daily documentation
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect
• Follow all facility policies and procedures
