Grand Casino Hinckley is seeking a Hotel Laundry House Person to maintain cleanliness of linens, guest rooms, and hotel common areas. You will operate washers, sort and fold linens, stock supplies, and assist with laundry operations to ensure top-tier cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include cleaning fitness centers and pool areas, handling trash, assisting with maintenance, and upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers and dryers following manufacturer guidelines.
• Pre-sort linens and remove damaged items.
• Fold and store clean linens, towels, and sheets.
• Empty trash in hotel common areas and transport to designated areas.
• Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed.
• Stock housekeeping closets and replenish supplies.
• Clean the fitness center and pool areas, restock towels.
• Assist in minor maintenance like changing light bulbs and reporting issues.
• Inspect work areas and notify supervisor of maintenance needs.
• Maintain familiarity with brand standards and procedures.
• Follow policies on lost and found items.
• Report incidents affecting operations to supervisor.
• Dust, sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and clean assigned areas.
• Deep clean rugs, carpets, and draperies as needed.
• Assist with laundry truck arrival and storage of supplies.

The Opportunity

As the Hotel Laundry House Person for Grand Casinos, you will be instrumental in maintaining an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the Hotel. Your responsibilities will include managing and cleaning linen, restocking supplies, assisting in cleaning guest rooms as needed, and ensuring the cleanliness of common areas on the hotel floors.

What you get to do

• Operate washers and dryers in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and recommended capacity.
• Pre-sort linens to locate and remove damaged items.
• Neatly fold clean linens, towels, and sheets and store them in appropriate areas.
• Empty all trash cans in hotel common areas and transport trash to designated areas.
• Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed.
• Stock housekeeping closets and put away supplies that come in.
• Clean the fitness center in the hotel, restock it with fresh towels, and remove used towels.
• Clean the pool area, restock it with clean towels, and bring dirty pool towels to the laundry room.
• Assist in minor maintenance of guest rooms and public areas of the hotel, such as changing light bulbs and unplugging toilets, and report problems that need further attention to the Housekeeping Supervisor on duty.
• Routinely inspect work areas, identify potential problems or repair needs, and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of maintenance required.
• Maintain familiarity with brand standards and ensure adherence to them.
• Follow all policies and procedures regarding the handling of lost and found items.
• Notify the Supervisor of any incidents or conflicts that affect normal business operations or guest services.
• Dust, sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and clean assigned hotel floor common areas.
• Deep clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as needed.
• Transport trash and dirty linens to designated areas.
• Assist with the arrival of the laundry truck and transport clean products to the storage areas.
• Perform other departmental duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the team.

What Qualifies You

• Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
