ON Semiconductor Corporation in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team. The internship offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced semiconductor environment, supporting initiatives focused on process optimization, yield improvement, and continuous improvement.

You will work with engineers, technicians, and cross‑functional teams to analyze manufacturing data, develop dashboards, and communicate results.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Sophomore standing or above.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Engineers in process improvement, yield enhancement, and productivity projects.
• Analyze manufacturing and equipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project progress and results.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and engineering procedures.
• Support process qualifications, equipment evaluations, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement improvements.
• Collect and analyze data related to process capability, throughput, cycle time, quality, and equipment performance.
• Present project findings and recommendations to engineering and site leadership.
