Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Structural Analyst to perform strength, stability, and lifting analyses on launch vehicle and engine components. You will collaborate with Responsible Engineers in a hardware-rich environment to improve structural integrity and develop qualification rationale and test plans.

The role supports both launch vehicle and propulsion system structures, with a path to broaden experience across systems while benefiting from a small, well-supported team and rapid professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience analyzing launch vehicles or rocket engines.
• Solid fundamentals in static, fatigue, and fracture mechanics.
• Experience with ANSYS or NASTRAN for structural analysis.
• Familiarity with scripting/automation for analysis workflows (Python or MATLAB).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build analytical models to assess failure modes in launch vehicle hardware.
• Document analysis results and structural rationale for components.
• Review others' stress work and provide feedback.
• Develop loads and load cases for analysis and stakeholders.
• Identify required structural testing and develop test plans.
