Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring a Structural Engineer - Steel Structures, Level II, to design and develop key structural ground systems for the launch site at LC-36 in Cape Canaveral, FL. You will work on ground mechanical and structural systems for New Glenn rockets.

You will perform FEA, develop solutions, and coordinate with external partners on fabrication, assembly, and testing under guidance from senior engineers. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in heavy steel structures are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
• 3+ years of design, analysis and construction of large steel structural systems.
• Experience with FEA tools and structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance of senior engineers, perform analysis and design tasks with oversight.
• Develop structural design solutions for large structural/mechanical systems under senior guidance.
• Perform FEA and hand-calculations for steel structures.
• Support management of external design and fabrication partners, assist in overseeing equipment fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing & activation.
