Firefly Aerospace, headquartered near Austin, TX, seeks a Test Technician to join the manufacturing and test facility in Briggs, TX. You’ll work with engineers to test flight hardware, assemble fixtures, and execute procedures that ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3 years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, military or automotive environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Self-start, build trust, foster inclusive culture.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods in a test stand environment.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel ~15%.

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee rigorous testing of flight and ground support hardware (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, leak tests).
• Develop, document, and refine comprehensive test procedures with engineering teams.
• Assist in design, fabrication, and assembly of test fixtures, stands, and equipment.
• Coordinate with test engineers and management to plan daily test activities and manage risks.
• Perform precision assembly of flight systems following CAD and work orders.
• Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement in operations.
