Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Technician III to support the Neutron launch vehicle program at our Virginia facilities. You will lead fabrication, assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical subsystems, with focus on fluids systems, to enable a timely test and first launch campaign.

Join a tight-knit team of technicians collaborating across sites, ensuring quality and schedule adherence while working extended hours as needed to meet vehicle integration milestones.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, industrial, or relevant environments.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and/or fluid components.
• Experience assembling large structures and mechanisms.
• Proficient with hand, power and measurement tools used in mechanical construction.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate mechanical subsystems on test and launch sites, focusing on fluids systems.
• Lead daily activities for 3-5 technicians to meet integration schedules.
• Contribute to workflow and best practices for launch pad operations.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
• Support other operations to assist launch integration.
• Assemble, fit out, and install launch pad systems; perform initial build and commissioning; precise cleaning and troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with Rocket Lab teams in Auckland, Long Beach, and Stennis Space Center.
