Job summary

IAC Group in Arlington, TX is seeking a Launch Materials Planner for an 18- to 24-month contract in the Supply Chain/Materials Department. You will coordinate supplier schedules, inventory planning, logistics, and production requirements to ensure material readiness for prototype builds, validation events, and SOP launches.

The role serves as a cross-functional liaison between Program Management, Purchasing, Production Control, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, and Suppliers to minimize launch

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in material or launch planning within manufacturing.
• Experience working with suppliers, purchasing, and production operations.
• Knowledge of MRP, inventory control, and supply chain principles.
• Experience with production ramp-ups and customer delivery requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Plex, or QAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning activities for new product launches from kickoff through SOP.
• Develop launch material requirements based on releases, schedules, and forecasts.
• Coordinate readiness to support prototype builds, validation, and launches.
• Monitor launch inventories and ensure materials are available for launch needs.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Suppliers to set production schedules and delivery plans.
• Identify supply risks and communicate impacts to cross-functional teams.
• Track BOM updates, engineering changes, and material phase-in/phase-out during launch.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure timely transport and inventory management of launch materials.
• Participate in APQP/PPAP activities and provide material readiness updates.
