Job summary

Engen Contracting, a commercial general contractor based in Austin, TX, seeks an Associate Project Manager to support project teams from preconstruction to closeout on ground-up and tenant-improvement projects.

You will coordinate documentation, assist with scheduling and budgeting, and support field operations while upholding safety and quality standards. This role offers growth into project leadership and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting commercial construction projects with a General Contractor.
• Experience with ground-up and tenant improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Assist with project buyout, subcontract preparation, and purchase order administration.
• Prepare, collect, review, and distribute submittals.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation using Procore.
• Maintain project directories and document control within Procore.
• Assist with monitoring project budgets and forecasting updates.
• Track project design changes and associated cost impacts.
