Job summary

Koch is seeking a Launch Engineer to drive the transition of new product designs from development into production. You will lead manufacturing readiness, launch execution, and process validation across global teams, bridging design, development, manufacturing, and quality to ensure on-time delivery with strong launch performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of electro-mechanical product design, manufacturing, quality, and development with leadership.
• Structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.
• Experience with processes: stamping, injection molding, die casting, plating, laser welding, soldering, insert molding.
• Strong understanding of FEA, GD&T, or tolerance analysis.
• Excellent communication to diverse audiences and global traveling up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant launch readiness reviews and coordinate cross-functional launch readiness activities.
• Provide real-time technical support and communication between design centers and manufacturing plants during launch and ramp-up.
• Drive problem solving for yield, quality, testing, and process concerns during launch, including escalation to management.
• Develop and execute DOE to isolate variables and optimize launch performance.
• Perform statistical analysis of process data to identify trends and verify corrective actions.
• Evaluate risk when reviewing out-of-spec conditions, deviations, and issues.
• Collect and interpret manufacturing, quality, and test data for data-driven decisions.
• Transfer lessons learned to improve future product designs, test plans, and readiness.
• Support continuous improvement focused on FPY, ramp-up, KPIs, quality, and productivity.
• Support DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, process validation, and risk mitigation.
